Services and Prayer

Monthly Services

The Oceania Centre performs the January grand service, the October grand service, and the monthly services from 10 o’clock on the third Sunday every month.

Starting with the opening of the shrine portals, the offering, and the reading of the service prayer, the seated service is then performed, followed by the Dance with Hand Movements, comprising the Yorozuyo and the Twelve Songs. Following the service, the sermon is delivered, where simultaneous interpretation either into Japanese or English is available.

After the service, lunch is provided to all service attendees who promote mutual friendship as followers of the same path.

Daily Services

The morning and evening services are conducted every day at the Oceania Centre: the morning service at seven and the evening service at six.

Following the seated service, two songs with hand movements are performed each time. Then, we read either the Ofudesaki or the Anecdotes of Oyasama at the morning service and the Ten Aspects of Complete Providence and the Kakisage at the evening service.

New Year’s Day Service

The Oceania Centre conducts the New Year’s Day service from 10 a.m. on 1st January every year where we express our gratitude for God’s blessings we received and pray for God’s protection at the beginning of a new year.

Following the seated service, the Dance with Hand Movements, comprising the Yorozuyo and the Twelve Songs, are performed.

After the service, Japanese Sake, which has been offered to God the Parent at the service, is provided to all the attendees.

Service Practices

The Oceania Centre holds the practice of Otefuri (Hand Dance) and musical instruments for the service anytime upon request and also in the Saturday evening before each monthly service day.
